Ethiopian Committed to Bolster Investment on Technology to Enhance Safety Standards: CEO

Ethiopian Airlines will continue investing on technology and human resources and bolster cooperation with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to enhance its safety standards to a higher level, Ethiopian Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said.

Ethiopian Group CEO Mesfin Tasew held bilateral discussion with David P. Pekoske, Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The two parties held fruitful deliberations on bilateral issues,Ethiopian said in a statement.

During the occasion, Mesfin said, safety and security are number one priorities for Ethiopian Airlines.

“We have been working closely with the excellent team of TSA to ensure that our operations are safe, secure and in full compliance with the industry standards.”

He appreciated the support provided by TSA to Ethiopian Airlines, and would like to nurture the partnership developed over the years.

“We will continue investing on technology and human resources and bolster cooperation with TSA to enhance our safety standards to a higher level.”

TSA Administrator, David P. Pekoske. said, “I congratulate Ethiopian Airlines for winning Skytrax awards for six years in a row and for being cargo airline of the year. Coming out of the pandemic, Ethiopian growth is impressive.”
