Hirshabell State President condemns the terrorist attacks in Mahas town, cassualties rise

Mogadishu Hirshabell State President, Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Gudlawe) on Wednesday condemned the twin terrorist attacks in Mahas town in Hiiraan region which killed more than 10 people and injured others, SONNA reported.

Mahas District Commissioner, Mumin Mohamed Halane said that the Federal Government of Somalia airlifted some of the victims injured in the twin bombings early in the Monring there.

” The terrorists carried out coward attacks at my house and the market in the district early in the morning. They masacred civilians mostly women and children and destroyed the town. The Federal Government of Somalia airlifted some injured victims to Mogadishu for further treatment”, Halane said, telling his son was among those injured in the attacks.

“Having been defeated in the battlefield, Al Shabaab resorts to cowardly vehicle-borne explosive devices in Maxaas and Goobo, in Eastern Hiiraan. There is nothing else they can do. They will be exterminated. May Allah be Merciful to the dead, and Heal the wounded”, Former Hirshabelle State President, Mohamed Abdi Ware said on Twitter Post.

The attack came some days after Somali National Army with support from Ma’awisley forces liberated the Al-Shabaab terrorists middle Shabelle and Hiiraan regions under Hirshabelle State in Somalia.
