Infrastructure, diplomacy and election to the presidency of the FBF on the cover of Burkinabe daily newspapers

Ouagadougou: Today’s publications echo the election for the presidency of the Burkinabè Football Federation (FBF), the presentation of the credentials of new diplomats to the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré and the inauguration of several road, health and educational infrastructures in the Eastern region.

‘Eastern Region: Around 60 billion FCFA invested,’ reads the front page of the public newspaper Sidwaya.

The state daily reports that the chief of staff (DIRCAB) of the President of Faso, Captain Anderson Medah, inaugurated on Friday June 28, 2024 in Fada N’Gourma, in the Eastern region, several road and health and educational infrastructures.

According to him, this inauguration ceremony in the ‘city of Yendabli’ took place in the presence of a strong governmental and legislative delegation with the participation of the resident representative of the World Bank in Burkina Faso, Hamoud Abdel Wedoud Kamil.

By the way, the dean of Burkina Faso’s private dailies, L’Observateur Paalga, for his part,
maintains that ‘Fada shines brightly’.

The colleague specifies that these infrastructure projects fall within the framework of the Emergency Territorial Development and Resilience Project (PUDTR) financed by the World Bank.

On another note, the public newspaper Sidwaya informs that ten new diplomats presented their credentials to the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, on Friday June 28, 2024 in Ouagadougou.

The private daily L’Express du Faso, published in Bobo-Dioulasso, indicates that the presentation of the said letters proves that Burkina Faso is indeed a good place to visit.

‘Election for the presidency of the FBF: Lazare Banssé is not a candidate for his own succession,’ informs the private newspaper Le pays on its headlines.

According to him, the elective general meeting of the president of the executive committee of the FBF is scheduled to be held on Saturday August 31, 2024.

For Le Pays, the president of the FBF, Lazare Banssé, in an address to the players and the world of football, dec
ided not to be a candidate for his own succession.

L’Observateur Paalga believes that after having spent 4 years at the head of the Burkinabe football umbrella, Mr. Banssé believes that we must give a chance to the reconciliation of football players.

On this subject, the Bobolais newspaper, L’Express du Faso writes: “Finally, we understand why Banssé is not a candidate”
