Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments calls for drought relief

Mogadishu of Religious Affairs and Endowments H.E Omar Ali Roble has called on the Somali government and the community to address the widespread severe drought that has affected many regions in the country, SONNA reported.

During his speech, The Minister spoke in particular to the youth of Somalia, saying that they represent the change in every country, and therefore they need to play a key role in providing assistance to the people affected by the drought.

The minister added that no one understands or is aware of the extent of the drought and its aftermath, urging the community to give priority to helping the needy people on the streets.
