Somali PM Chairs Meeting of National Security

Mogadishu The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre on Wednesday chaired meeting of the National Security and long terms weapon sanctions on Somalia.

Ministries of Security and Defense provided brief update over on-going military operations against Al-Shabaab and the latest developments reached from war on terror in Middle Shabelle, Hiiraan and Galgudud regions.

Over 2000 terrorist fighters were killed during the operations in the past four months according to the officials.

The Prime Minister said that his Government is committed to eradicating the terrorist militant group of Al-Shabaab, telling the Government would try its best to lift arms embargo.
