UK lauds Somalia’s progress in aviation, seeking access to airspace

Mogadishu Minister of Transport and Aviation Fardowsa Osman Igaal met with Director General of the British Civil Aviation Authority, Rannia Leontaridi.

During discussions, the two sides talked about aviation cooperation and sharing of experience and training, promotion of management and access to Somalia’s airspace.

“Our country today is in a position to be part of the global network with reliable air services and management, considering how our air is a strategic place,” Hon Fardowsa said.

On her part, Leontarid lauded Somalia’s progress in aviation, expressed commitment of working with Somali Civil Aviation Authority.

The meeting was also participated by the director of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority, Ahmed Macalin Hassan, according to official statement from the ministry.
